About
Us
Just Stop Breathing is the
result of a Mom and Pop family decision to show the world what really needs to
be done for our environment.
Living in the great State of Colorado, we enjoy beautiful mountain vistas,
blue skies, fruited plains, buffalo roaming, deer and antelope playing and a
very healthy lifestyle. Biking and hiking, mountain climbing, rock climbing, all
kinds of sports and the like are just part of the Colorado charm.

FAQ's Anyone?
|
|
|
Why are you doing this?
|
| Put simply, for fun! The debate about global warming is too serious, and since the poor gas Carbon Dioxide was elevated from simply something you exhale to a
pollutant, the whole ‘Carbon Neutral’ discussion becomes hypocritical. Nobody alive is ‘Carbon Neutral’. So we’re here to
poke some fun and point out the obvious. I’m not here to change your mind. I just hope you enjoy the
humor with us! |

Do you believe in global warming? |
| Yes, it seems clear that glaciers have been melting and the world has been getting warmer for the last 11,000 years. It also appears from the fossil record that there was
once temperate, or warmer, climates clear above the Arctic Circle. So yes the planet has warmed and
cooled many times and it appears we are on a warming trend. |

Do you believe man is impacting the environment? |
| Yes, I think it can be established that we are spreading pollutants around the planet. There is no doubt that most places around the planet show
some impact from man. This includes rising levels of greenhouse gases. As a matter of personal opinion
though, I think the spread of sulfur dioxides, mercury, nitrogen oxides, Teflon, and the myriad of other
chemicals are a far bigger threat to us than carbon dioxide. It doesn’t appear that carbon dioxide builds
up in predator species (i.e. polar bears, eagles, and orcas) like other toxins. |

Do you think man is causing global warming? |
| I think it is possible. For example, most paved metropolitan areas are a few degrees warmer than open lands a few miles away. It’s clear that our
actions can have an impact. However, I don’t accept UN ‘scientific consensus’, or science by voting, as
exchangeable for facts. I suppose Al Gore would call me a flat‐earther but I don’t think the current facts
fit the alarmism. For example, there is a tremendous amount of talk about rising seas, but the seas
have risen for thousands of years. They rose a foot in the last 100 years alone. In an effort to point the
finger at man, the virtuous “carbon cycle” easily sums up and cancels out large variables like volcanic
eruptions and rock weathering. As though we have anything other than statistical guesses about the
impact of two huge offsetting variables like that. Mount Pinatubo lowered global temperatures for a
year or longer, did we weather extra rocks that year to make up for the extra gases pumped out? I think
man’s impact is dwarfed by things like the sun, and volcanic cycles of the planet. |

Do you hate planet earth? |
| No, I love the planet and enjoying the outdoors. I’m an avid hiker, biker, and
backpacker. However, while good stewardship of our planet and it resources is very important, the
whole global warming debate has become too much. I don’t believe that global warming and man’s
impact is the *most* important challenge we face now, or even for the next 50 years. People are dying
every day from lack of access to clean water. They die every day from afflictions we have cures for but
simply can’t deliver effectively. Call me a liberal, but if my grandchildren look back, I’d like them to see
we made an effort to save the hundreds of millions of people in the 21st century, instead of a few
hundred polar bears. |
